The Electric Railway & Fynoderee Distillery Day Tour takes you back in time with a journey aboard the historic Manx Electric Railway, travelling independently from Douglas to Ramsey through some of the Isle of Man’s most scenic landscapes. On arrival, head to the award-winning Fynoderee Distillery for a warm welcome and a guided behind-the-scenes tour.
Begin with a refreshing “Fyn & Tonic” before discovering the folklore that inspired the Fynoderee brand. Explore the distillery warehouse, learn how their spirits are made, and enjoy a tutored tasting of their celebrated Manx Dry Gins, Bumbee Vodka, and Glashtyn Spiced Rum. Afterwards, relax in The Fyn Bar, browse the gift shop, or explore Ramsey before returning to Douglas using your day pass at your leisure.
This tour pairs one of the island’s most scenic train journeys with a genuine behind-the-scenes distillery experience, giving you the freedom to travel and explore at your own pace on both legs of the day. It suits visitors who enjoy a slower, more independent style of sightseeing rather than a fixed group itinerary.

What does the day pass include? Unlimited travel that day on the Manx Electric Railway and other scheduled public transport, so you can make your own way to Ramsey and back at whatever times suit you best.
What time does the distillery tour start? 2:00 pm, finishing at 3:30 pm — please make sure you’re in Ramsey in good time beforehand, allowing for your train journey.
Is the distillery wheelchair accessible? Not currently — tours begin on the first floor, so please contact the team well in advance to discuss alternative arrangements.
What should I wear? Sensible shoes and a warm layer, since the distillery is a working environment and the warehouse can be chilly.
Can I explore Ramsey before or after the tour? Yes — your day pass and self-guided travel mean you’re free to explore the town either side of the distillery visit.
How is this different from the standalone Fynoderee Distillery Tour? This version includes your public transport day pass and builds the scenic Manx Electric Railway journey into the experience, rather than leaving transport to arrange yourself.
