Arriving in Douglas — What to Expect
Cruise ships calling at Douglas anchor in the bay, and passengers come ashore by tender to the Sea Terminal on the main promenade — right in the town centre, a five-to ten-minute walk from the shops, cafés, and pick-up points for our tours.
Where we meet you: At the Isle of Man Experience shop in the terminal building.
Currency: The Manx Pound is pegged 1:1 with GBP, and British currency is accepted everywhere on the island — no need to exchange money.
Weather: Layers and a waterproof are a good idea year-round; the island’s maritime climate can turn quickly even on a sunny morning.

What happens if my ship’s schedule changes or we arrive late? We monitor cruise ship arrival and departure times and adjust pick-up where we can.
Where exactly do we meet you when we get off the tender? We meet you at the Isle of Man Experiences outlet, located in the terminal building, a short walk from where the tender drops you.
What should I bring? Comfortable shoes, a waterproof jacket, and a camera are recommended for most tours.
Can I book on the day if I haven’t pre-booked? Advance booking is strongly recommended, as tours have limited spaces and can sell out.

Discover the famous Isle of Man TT course on this guided tour around the island.
Travelling in a comfortable small-group minibus, you’ll follow the full 37¾-mile circuit with an ex-TT racer as your guide. As the road winds through towns, countryside and coastline, your guide will bring the course to life by explaining what it feels like to race these roads at incredible speeds.
Along the way, you’ll see many of the legendary corners and locations that have shaped TT history, gaining a real insight into the skill, bravery and precision required to compete in the world’s most famous road race.
Visit the Isle of Man Motor Museum
Halfway around the course, the tour diverts to the Isle of Man Motor Museum, one of the island’s hidden gems.
Home to over 500 vehicles, it has been described by a leading motoring magazine as “the best motor museum you’ve never heard of.”
The collection includes classic cars, historic motorcycles, vintage buses, military vehicles and even a spacecraft. There is also a dedicated Isle of Man TT display celebrating the history of the famous race and its legendary competitors.
The Mountain Section
After visiting the museum, the tour continues north to Ramsey before tackling the legendary Mountain Road, the fastest and most dramatic section of the TT course.
Crossing open moorland high above the island, this spectacular stretch of road shows the true scale and challenge of the course, where riders reach incredible speeds.
Finish at the TT Grandstand
The experience concludes at the TT Grandstand, the spiritual home of the TT.
Here you’ll have the opportunity to stand on the famous TT Winners’ Podium — the same podium where champions celebrate victory — the perfect photo to end your TT experience.

A Taste of the Isle of Man Sightseeing Tour
Join a small-group guided minibus tour and discover the very best of the Isle of Man in a single unforgettable day.
