Vacaciones de Golf en la Isla de Man

Visión general

The Isle of Man is one of the British Isles’ finest undiscovered golf destinations — a compact island with a remarkable spread of courses, dramatic coastal scenery, and none of the crowds you’d find at comparable mainland destinations.

From the championship links at Castletown, perched on a headland above the Irish Sea, to the parkland fairways at Ramsey in the north and the testing layouts at Peel and Douglas in between, the island offers genuine variety within easy reach. You can play a different course every day of your stay and still feel like you’ve only scratched the surface.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Isle of Man Arrival

Arrive at your chosen port and board the Steam Packet ferry to Douglas. Check in to your hotel and meet your guide, who will run through the plan for the week and answer any questions about the courses ahead.

If you're staying at the Comis Hotel and Golf Resort and your ferry gets you in with time to spare, there's no need to wait until Day 2 to get started — the course is right on the doorstep and an afternoon round is a fine way to shake off the journey. Your guide can arrange this in advance if you'd like to make it part of your first day.

For those arriving later in the day, Douglas is well worth exploring on your first evening. The Victorian promenade is one of the finest in the British Isles, and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Day 2 — Castletown Golf Links

Your guide collects you from the hotel and transfers you south to Castletown — the jewel in the island's golfing crown. Set on a dramatic limestone headland with the Irish Sea on three sides, Castletown Golf Links is a genuine championship links course and the one most visiting golfers come to the island specifically to play. Exposed, demanding, and visually stunning — it rewards good course management and punishes wayward shots in equal measure.

After your round, take a short walk into Castletown town centre. Castle Rushen, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the British Isles, dominates the old harbour and is well worth an hour of your time before the return transfer to Douglas.

Day 3 — Peel Golf Club

Today your guide takes you west to Peel, the island's only city and one of its most atmospheric towns. Peel Golf Club sits on elevated ground above the town with sweeping views across the west coast — a very different test from Castletown, with tighter fairways and moorland character.

After your round, Peel itself is a fine place to spend an afternoon. The ruins of Peel Castle on St Patrick's Isle are dramatic at any time of year, and the town's working harbour and independent cafés make it one of the most enjoyable spots on the island for a late lunch before the transfer back to Douglas.

Day 4 — Ramsey Golf Club

Your final round takes you north to Ramsey Golf Club, a parkland course set against the backdrop of the northern hills. A more relaxed setting than the previous two days, and a good opportunity to enjoy your golf without the wind off the Irish Sea.

Ramsey is also home to Fynoderee Distillery — the island's own gin and whisky producer — and a visit for a tasting after your round is a fine way to mark the end of the trip before the transfer back to Douglas. The Queen's Pier is worth a walk too if time allows.

Day 5 — Departure

Check out and transfer to the Sea Terminal in Douglas for your return sailing. If your ferry departs in the afternoon, there's time for a final walk along the promenade or a visit to the Manx Museum — one of the best free museums in the British Isles and a fitting end to the trip.
